A Milestone Achieved
New York Institute of Technology has reached a milestone, raising more than $11 million in the last two years from nearly 3,500 donors, with over $750,000 supporting student scholarships. The funds will support ongoing and new initiatives, including the Biomedical Research, Innovation, and Imaging Center (BRIIC); NYITCOM’s Stethoscope Program; the Student Emergency Fund; Bear Bytes; Tech Threads; and the newly established Honors College, among others.
These donations help support student travel for research and conferences, innovative programs that elevate their education, faculty development and productivity, exhibitions and events, and more.
President Henry C. Foley, Ph.D., and Peter J. Romano (B.Arch. ’76), chair of New York Tech’s Board of Trustees, spoke with New York Institute of Technology Magazine about this milestone and what they envision for the future of the university.
